About Us
PROSPERITY JUNIOR CENTRE
At PROSPERITY JUNIOR CENTRE we are driven by a profound vision rooted in faith and resilience. Our journey began with a dream in 2014—one that planted the seeds for what would become a transformative haven for children. Although the dream was initially unclear, it became a guiding light in our founder’s life.
In those early days, our founder Japhet and his brother Patrick faced significant challenges. Living in a humble Mabati house with his wife, young daughter, and his younger brother Patrick, Japhet struggled to make ends meet on a modest teacher’s salary. The demands of providing for his family and supporting his brother’s education seemed overwhelming, leaving little room to pursue the vision he had received. Despite these hardships, the dream of Prosperity Junior Centre never faded. In 2016, a pivotal moment occurred when a pastor, during a service at a Pentecostal church in Umoja, spoke of a grand vision for our founder—a prophecy that affirmed the calling to be a beacon of hope for many generations. This powerful affirmation ignited a renewed determination to bring the dream to fruition. Read the whole story of Japhet in the page “About”.
Today, Prosperity Junior Centre stands as a testament to faith and perseverance. It is both a school and a home for children from the Kawangware and Kangemi neighborhoods. We provide a safe haven and quality education for abandoned children, orphans, and those who have been rescued from difficult circumstances. Our mission is to nurture and educate these vulnerable children.
We invite you to be a part of this inspiring journey. Your support—through participation, volunteering, or donations—can help us extend our reach and impact more lives. Together, we can build a brighter future and turn dreams into reality.
